Dear Diary,

I am off to the Doctor today.  I will see him at the James Cancer Hospital at OSU.  I will have an MRI followed up with an appointment to see my Dr.  He will have the results of the MRI.  We will know if any cancer (at least what can be seen) continues to swim around anywhere.

I get nervous with every cancer test.  Some turn out good, most do….but there is always the one that turns out bad.  However, whatever the results.  I will continue, just as I have been

Think of me, keep me in your hearts and say lots of prayers.

This phase of life is another chapter
Gripping with the terror of a carnivorous raptor
Historic disease meets futuristic science
Political search for a peaceful alliance
Bloody fangs and flesh tearing claws

I have been walking toward a tree

It is said to contain all knowledge

A serpent used it to trick Eve

The famous Tree of Knowledge

Legend says it was cast away

Not even in the Garden of Eden

The tree so dangerous

According to God

Banished from all human

Mystical though it is

I am called to find this tree

What is the secret?  What does it know?

What is the hidden mystery

I followed a Raven on my quest

Trusting what he said

Bringing me an unknown leaf

From the Tree of Knowledge, the Raven said

He picked me up and carried me

A long, long way we flew

He dropped me off on a cloud

Saying “To thine self be true”

So here I am, on my quest

The tree just in sight

No matter how far I seem to walk

I still wish I were in flight

I just can’t seem to get close

As if the tree is drifting

Wondering aimless through this realm

My soul seems to be lifting

Feels like a force is pulling me

The closer that I get

I am overcome with fear

This journey, I regret

As peaceful as the realm can be

I do not belong

I think I made a big mistake

Finding this tree, is wrong

Just like Eve, I caved in

To the calling of this tree

Just like Eve I am condemn

To wander throughout history

Banished from my Earthly home

My Doctor loves to cook
I am part of a recipe
He stuck me in an oven
Set at 350 degrees
There was some preparation
Before I climbed in
I was shot up with some stuff
From a giant ink pen
Was told it was radioactive
As if that wasn’t enough
Was given some directions
Saying I could glow
In the dark and stuff
I was placed in a cold room
Where I was left to baste
Was left there for a while
To ponder about my taste
Would I come out sour
Or perhaps way too sweet
Maybe a bit salty
Possibly a nice treat?
As I was just about
To take a of my arm
A buzzer sounded off
It was my basting alarm
Evidently I was finished
Soaking in this pan
I must be glowing quite nicely
And was placed into a new pan
Was slid inside an oven
It fit much like a casket
Was rather claustrophobic
And wondered about the fit
Soon lights were whirling
Reminding me of a ride
One found at a fair
That makes you sick inside
Set to bake for 30 minutes
I tried to go to sleep
There wasn’t much else to do
I wished I had a sheet
Was taken out of the over
Checked to see if done
Wondered if I was glowing
Wished I was having fun
I was now radioactive
And was handed a card
Instructing anyone who cared
Not to be too alarmed
I left with one thought
I wondered what would happen
If I were exposed to a flame
Would I self-combustion
I am part of a recipe
Hope I come out good
All this preparation
Is devouring my mood
And in case you wonder
I will draw the line
If a meat thermometer
Comes near my backside

My Shadow caught me

Last night in a dream

Running behind me in the dark

Breaking away when the light hid

Seeking the beat of my heart

Taking me over

Claiming my body

Thief for hire

I am a prisoner inside of myself

Lost in  the Shadow’s Empire

The Empire

Suffocates

For there is no air

Isolation

The true meaning of nothing

Emptiness

No one is there

I am being drained

Of color and substance

Of every thought I’ve ever had

Here, in the depth of this Empire

Alone in the Shadow’s grasp

Alone, with a Shadow Vampire

Future victims of my Shadow

Everyone I  know

Now in danger

Never knowing

I was evicted

Shadow Vampire

Undetected

Though I am prisoner

Inside of myself

My friends and family

Are in need of  help

I must do whatever it takes

I must find a way

To keep them safe

Vampire mortar

The water is me

Together we hatch a plan

Together we defeat the Shadow

Casting him into this land

The willow was a sapling

I remember when

Sneaking away from a picnic

Into a wonderful meadow

Covered in a blanket of violetsave

Honeysuckle wildly grows

One lone tree

A small willow

Making love under the sun

On a blanket

Of wild violets

Honeysuckle filling my lungs

Today we just met

Under a large willow tree

I did not know

I was missing a part of me

Until I met you

Today, tomorrow or was it yesterday?

This lifetime?…… or the next?

Maybe it was the past

So simple but complex

A  purple carpet of violets still growing in the meadow

Yellow honeysuckle still dances in the wind

Under a very old, very strong willow

I just found today

With a man in the meadow

I just met

I posted a prayer about an hour or so ago.  It is called “Yellow Witch”.   I am going to post it several times throughout this week.  I would like to see it re-blog and sent to as many cancer patients as possible.

Dear Diary,

Thursday I will have a CT Scan.  My first scan of many more to come,  since having cancer removed from my liver.  (4 small tumors).  I will see my Doctor immediately following the scan for the results.

In my case, it spread from my colon, through my lymph nodes and into my liver.  In spite of  the chemo treatments I had.  My first experience with chemo, left me with severe nerve damage to my feet and to my internal organs.  All of my organs were damaged in some way or other and have quirks.  Primarily my digestive system.    I have lost much weight due to an inability to properly intake or digest food.    I was wearing size large, I now wear size small.  I was in size 16-I am now wearing size 7.

A group of cancer Doctors (each specializing in different areas of cancer/chemo/treatments agree another about of chemo would probably kill me.  Even though, a different a different set of meds would be used, they will not risk giving it too me.

So, knowing most patients in my shoes, would have received chemo in addition to surgery….well, obviously, my chances of the cancer returning are increased.  I also know I am in the final stages of this cancer.  Basically, this means, I am in need of a miracle.

For these reasons, my writings/musings reflect on faith/spiritualism.  I can not help but focus on life, death…the hereafter.  It gives me great comfort and I hope it may comfort someone else as well.

Today, I ask for healing prayers.  I ask for a miracle.  I ask all to pray my CT scan comes out clean with no sign of cancer.

Most everyday, I seem to end up having a “theme” for the day.  It has been anything from a cat to an angel to a frog.  It is never anything I plan.  It is something my writings, my inspirations of the day seem to focus on naturally.  Today, it seems to be a “witch”.

However, today it is not only a witch.  It is a special witch.  I see a “Yellow Witch”.  Yellow, because yellow is “my color”.  My favorite color, my favorite flower and my personality are “yellow”.  Yellow is sunshine, happiness and friendship.  A witch is magical and full of healing energy.

I am going to write about a little yellow witch.  She is a special cancer witch.  I want her to travel the internet.  I want her to find other cancer patients.  I want her to share her magical words and prayers.  Her miracle poetry.   I pray for God to touch us all through my little yellow witch.  I pray for a healing.  I pray for miracles.  I  pray whoever receives my little yellow cancer witch also receives the a healing miracle too.

Please God, touch all of us.  We are all fighting for out lives, we are all seeking to live.  We are all in our final hours.  We all seek Your healing.  Please, whether through our medications, our surgeries, our Doctors or directly through your miraculous blessings, I pray…..we all pray collectively for a healing, a little yellow miracle.
