Emerald Stones

Nae's Nest —  July 12, 2012

The morning still lingers here

Flowers kissed with sun-dew

The wheel of color moving fast

As the wind pushes through

*

A zephyr blends a rainbow

The ocean’s song is still today

Her chorus so silky smooth

Reflecting through water and sun

*

I can hear the nymph as she sings

But I can not yet see her

 Maestro to  the Sea Urchins

Waves of notes come drifting in

*

All is still, A majestic day

With today’s lazy tide

Making it easy to listen

By the ocean-side

*

Occasionally, I see her leap

As she hits a high note

Beautifully her wet skin

Glistens while she floats

*

She sings of emerald stones

And brought some as a gift

Dropping them into the sea

With the tide they come adrift

*

3 smooth stones of emerald

I am to use to bathe

To cleanse away all disease

Purple cloth I should swathe

*

With lemon, lavender  and oil soaked rags

To make me whole again

I am to pray over the stones

A blessing, I  ask for them

*

That the healing powers

Held within

Shall be released upon

The touch of my skin

*

Into the water with the nymph

I am to bathe at night

She will be there with her friends

A bathing circle at twilight

*

The nymph will sing the prayer with me

In numbers we grow stronger

A singing circle in the sea

Swathe in purple armor

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
