Catch And Release

Catch and release

The butterfly’s soul

A beautiful moment in time

Given to us to adore

A gift from God

To cherish and explore

Catch and release

A blessed event

Enjoyment of life

Beloved sacrament

Should be welcomed

Something to uphold

Always ends

Story left untold

Another heart broken

Another soul taken

Catch and release

To catch is divine

Having you to hold

To love, to share

But to release

Always painful

Always too soon

Always sorrow

And deep despair

The butterfly’s moment in time

So brief

A turn of a page

Blink of an eye

As is life

Our place in time

Our curve in the circle

Our page in the book

Comes and goes

Catch and release

Gone!

Another soul

Nature took

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.

  4. And yet another appears on the horizon,
as the first has gone to its peace.
Another to stuggle against the wind,
    another to catch and release..

    Beautiful poem once again Renee.
