One blue swan
Alone in the pool
Her lover left
He is a fool
Tried to make her
Into who she isn’t
Could not be thankful
For what she wasn’t
A born leader
Smart and refined
Holding her head up
In sorrow and hard times
Standing out in a crowd
Small, yet so strong
Knowing what is right
Whenever something is wrong
He wanted someone weak
Under his control
He could not tame her
Harness her soul
Always looking for something else
Never happy with what he had
He found truth and happiness
Given up for his latest fad
Beauty of the blue swan
Sleeps within her breast
Plastic smiles and fake nails
Make a life with no rest
She may be blue
And floating along
In this great pool
Singing the swan’s song
One blue swan
Alone in the pool
Her lover left
He is a fool

Someday that fool will be found
at the bottom of the pool,
where he drowned.
Nothing could save him
as she no longer craved him
and he passed from her world
without sound.
