My writings are brutally honest and open. I will express in words, what others may think but are often afraid to say.
My poetry pours out of me. I will have no precognitive thoughts on what I am about to write. I certainly have no idea how it will end.
Through this collection of poetry, cancer and death were my motivators. My mind has been occupied with questions about my mortality and about leaving a piece of myself behind.
As far back as I can remember, I've wanted to be a writer. Through the years I was busy raising my sons, working and staying afloat. The time involved in writing a book, never occurred. Now, I finally have the time to make my dream come true. All it took was getting cancer, losing my job, going through chemo, and becoming nearly bedridden.

I particularly like this post and the images you added. The challenge of facing life from the grey colored glasses of ‘death’s a coming’ forces you to see the emptiness that we fear is within and the brave masque of everything is okay. I still smile, dance, laugh, fight, kick and scream.
