We Fly

Nae's Nest —  April 4, 2012

There is a tiny frog  inside of me, trying to leap out

So eager to sing

Eager to be heard and eager to be seen

She is held back by something bigger than she

Something she fears

Something in me

It is a snake

He watches her close

If she makes one wrong move, she will be disposed

She lives terrified

Afraid to jump

She has so much to give, so much to say

Will her voice be heard someday?

Will she make herself known and jump out of the fire?

Will she wilt away like a summer flower?

No one will miss her, no one will care.

We are alone in our despair

She is alone in a crowd

How can I save  her?

Snake is proud

What can I do?

I am terrified

 Snake holds the power

But God is on my side

What do I see?

Hope is what we need

Hope shining on me

With God we will proceed

Hope allowed us to face our fear

We conquered and moved forward

Frog is happy and singing

I am filled with pride

Hope made it possible

Taming snake

Giving frog  a ride

Thanks for the lift.

Parting was swift

 Don’t hang around

 Get out of town

We have been blessed

Dear frog and I

Together we sing

Dance

And catch flies fly

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
