Captive Heart

Thinking of you

Are you thinking of me?

Loving the moments

You have shared with me?

Your sweet voice

 I hear in my ear

Telling of love

Feeling sincere

Taking over my mind

Wonderful feeling

Hold with great care

My heart you are stealing

Life without you

Imagine it not

No looking back

Not even a thought

I want and need you

 My heart grows fond

Stronger each day

As we carry on

Do not have fear

 Is pleasant surprise

Wonderful feeling

Felt deep inside

Gentle and caring

 Sweet and kind

You are amazing

Strong and fine

So understanding

Am blessed with you

Never letting go

My heart is true

Last night in my dreams

 You on a pier

With the wind

Blowing your hair

Sunlight in your eyes

Reflecting the light

Stealing my breath

Magnificent sight

A vision so rare

 Captures my heart

Toward you I walk

No longer apart

Others watch

 In great envy

Wishing they had

What they are seeing

Wondering how

We ever met

Wishing they had

Love without regret

Holding you

In my arms

Feeling safe

And free of harm

This moment in time

Is ours forever

Come what may

Life’s endeavor

Our lives entwine

As do our arms

Touching my cheek

With eyes of charm

Heart full of peace

Eternal bliss

Closing my eyes

Eager for your kiss

Black Pearl

Seeking a treasure both rare and beautiful,

Traveling by sea,

When a mystical feeling,

Rose up from the water and washed over me,

A wave rolled up to claim my ship,

Flooding her boughs with water,

The ship was rolled,

Engulfed by the sea,

And digested with salt water

I begged and cried

I ask the sea:

”Why would you do such a terrible deed?”

Sea replied:

“The Black Pearl is a work of art, Created by me, You shall not have, Or you will be history.”

I promised the sea:

“You are right, Black Pearl is yours. I shall not steal, I shall not fight”.

The sea calmed down,

Her waves subsided,

I was free to move around,

I took advantage,

The water I glided,

Upon the back of a dolphin,

The dolphin swam into a cove,

I let loose as she swam away

Left to explore,

The Ocean’s floor,

I began to walk around,

As if lead by a force,

I can’t describe,

I found a hidden ground,

There was a hole under a rock,

Which I moved out of place,

A bed of pearls I had found,

As vast as the eye could see

Quickly I hunted the pearls,

Seeking the special Black,

Suddenly the sea raised up,

And like a whip attacked,

With great force,

She screeched at me,

Angered with my lie,

She led me to the Black Pearl

I was stunned when she replied:

“The Black Pearl you seek, belongs to me, but now so do you,

I cast you in this shallow cove, you shall never move”

She tossed me in the vast pearl bed,

Directly on top of Black Pearl,

Then she flooded the cove,

And from that point on,

I was known as the girl of Black Pearl
